TUESDAY WEEKLY WORKSHOPS

The Shakespeare Forum Weekly Open Workshops

TUESDAYS:  8:00pm - 10:00pm ET
El Barrio's Artspace PS109 (215 East 99th Street)

Actors, directors, producers and artists from all walks of life come together to work and play with the words of Shakespeare. Okay, so sometimes it’s not Shakespeare, but the spirit of exploration is ever-present as we delve into the text, challenging ourselves and each other to grow and change. No reservation or advance notice is necessary - all are welcome!

Over the course of a typical Tuesday or Thursday night, 4-5 people play with a monologueand they receive feedback from the rest of the room facilitated by The Shakespeare Forum staff. They will then play with the piece again and the room talks about what changed. There can be anywhere from 20 to 80 people in the room. There's no pressure to perform, or to even get up and work if that's not something you're interested in. It's a space to play and to help each other. We hope you can make it!

This is a donation-based class where we resurrect the true artist spirit- an open heart, a sense of humor and a belief that we are stronger when we are together.

Suggested Donation: $5
